Its amazing to see this coming out of the California government. Gov. Schwarzenegger decided to cut tons of money out of the state budget in order to bring soaring deficits down.
Republicans still manage to be the party of fiscal responsibility when they try. Former Governor Mitt Romney managed to do the same thing back in Massachusetts when he was governor while facing massive resistance from the Democratic state legislature of Massachusetts. It has already been said by members of the California state legislature that Governor Schwarzenegger will encounter the same problems.
I think the biggest lesson to learn is that if we keep the government small to begin with, we won’t have to deal with these huge deficits.
You may not my favorite Republican, but congratulations on your effort Governor Schwarzenegger. It is good to see Republicans trying there best to fix out of control deficit.
