I liked Fred, but if you run a bad campaign, do not expect to win. Its the way the world works.
Any thoughts on how this will effect the rest of the race? Please leave opinions.

Fred Thompson was at the top of my list. Now that he's gone, Rudy Giuliani (who was a close second to Fred) is at the top. Next are Mitt Romney and John McCain. As ticked as I am at McCain (which is quite a lot), he has been rising in my estimation and Romney has been sinking.
Overall, I think Romney benefits most, followed by Giuliani, or maybe McCain. I don't think Huckabee gets helped too much. Just my $0.02.
Nice site you have, by the way.
Honestly, I don't see his dropping out affecting anything. He didn't have a chance in hell anyways. Now, if let's say McCain or Romney dropped out, that would have an effect. It really doesn't matter if the loser in the race drops out.
I don't really see this helping anyone either. It might if he chooses to endorse someone, but I wouldn't do that if I were him. An endorsement from Fred Thompson is not the best thing the world.
